The Federation
The International Automotive Glass Federation™ is an association according to the law of The Netherlands. The formation was agreed during the first General Meeting of Members and Special Members in CH – Zürich on 30 Nov. 2007.
The objectives are among other things:
- To be the international representative of the branch - To promote the professional interests - To identify and promote health and safety legislation - To organise national and international competitions for Autoglassfitters - To develop technical standards.
Membership of the Federation is open to national trade associations:
- Whose member-companies operate (almost) exclusively in the areas of repairing, replacing and processing autoglass - Who endorse the objects and articles of the Federation - Who want to actively co-operate in the activities of the Federation.
In addition, membership of the Federation is open to companies who are operating (almost) exclusively in the AGRR branch from countries in which no trade associations are properly functioning.
The Special Membership allows companies working for the benefit of the AGRR branch to participate in the activities of the Federation. The Special Membership provides access to the activities of the Federation without a right to vote.
The Federation includes the following Committees:
- Training Committee: a platform of experts on training and certification of all in the AGRR branch including management tools and health and safety aspects
- Technical Committee: a platform of experts on developing and editing international standards, codes of practice, recommendations etc. for the safe replacement and repair of automotive glass
- Master Fitter Competition Committee: a platform of experts to promote and to organise national and international high-quality competitions for Autoglassfitters.
