Striking differences during International Competition at glasstec
24 Oct. 2008
After the first half of The International Master Fitter Competition 2008, remarkable differences in the scores of the 11 participants can be noticed. US Champion Jeff Olive leads with a score of 128 points, closely followed by Denmark’s Daniel Andersen and Gergely Igazvölgyi from Hungary. The number of points these competitors got from their respective judges differs substantially from the last participants. Goran Ilic, The Netherlands (84 points) and Raymond Csurda, France (71 points).
InterAutoGlass’ Pim de Ridder, also managing the competition, underlines that this is only an intermediate score. “Tomorrow the participants have to work on the windshield of their cars. First they will perform the repair of a chip on the laminated windshield. Later on they have to replace the entire windscreen. Both performances could have a big impact on the scores”.
The final part of The International Master Fitter Competition 2008 on Saturday 25 Oct. will take place in glasstec’s Autoglass Arena in hall 10 C 03 / 04 and starts at 10.00 a.m. The award ceremony is expected to take place at 2.00 p.m.
